So today I’m going to share with you a technique that helped me get more views and watch time on my videos.

I run a number of different YouTube channels covering a variety of different topics, and the most successful technique few people seem to use is utilising pinned comments.

The fact it has worked well for me shows that even if you are a nobody like me, it can really benefit you.

It follows a really simple format. You select your best videos in the niche or of similar topics, and add 3-4 links to them like I have done:

This is what I’ve got on How to Meow like a Cat, which is my most popular video on the topic:

How to Cry Like a Baby: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mx1afxESEY

How to Squeal like a Pig: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t893euRUCE

How to Yelp like a small Dog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kq5mmCYlyds

How to Laugh Like a Witch!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BApLt00aY-0&t

I get a LOT of views through people clicking on these and others clicking through to my playlists on other videos elsewhere, views I would NOT get otherwise.

It is also a good idea to have a playlist as your final choice covering everything in the topic for those people who like to binge watch.

Ultimately I did this without putting in a load of effort, and with fine tuning, I could probably do really well.

So how can I optimise this process?

Go through your videos and add all your videos to a playlist that covers a topic, this will allow you to get your links easier and to give everyone a playlist to visit.

Go to each individual video and add a comment for the four most relevant videos to the one you are currently on, rinse and repeat. You can also add videos that you think deserve a wider audience.
